Day 6: The zoo and Birthday Party

Today, I went to the Zoo with Auntie Di. We had a great time taking pictures and videos. I got the tale end of a really neat lion fight. It was pretty cool. I saw rams, and a green chicken.
once we finished there, I came home and got a really bad headache. So I just sat and did nothing for the rest of the day. We just got back from my Great Great Aunts birthday party.
sorry I'm not writing much tonight, I'm really tired and I still have a headache.

Day 5: Visiting and more shopping

Today I still did very little. I did end up visiting with my Uncle Arnold and Auntie Sandra for a while. We had a really good supper. Grammie made meat balls and potatoes. they were really good. After supper, they all played cards again. After Uncle Arnold and Auntie Sandra left, my Grandma took me with her out to the mall. We bought Jessica her birthday present. I know that she will like it...even though I know that she probably knows what it is.
It has become increasingly easier to tell Grammie that I'm not Hungary. Which is good.
Although today was almost entirely uneventful, all went as planned.

Day 4: relaxing and visiting

Today I didn't do a whole lot. I didn't get up until noon...unfortunately. But there is a reason for that. I got caught up in my book and was reading until 3 am. I ended up finishing twilight. It was sooo good. I really liked it. Way better than the movie. by far!! The movie is nothing comparable to the book.
Once I actually got up, Grandma got back from coffee with a friend and she brought me back an iced cap. I had macaroni and cheese (Grandmies home made) for breakfast. I can never get enough of that stuff!! its sooo good.
Once I finished eating, Grandmas friend took us to wall-mart because Grandma forgot to pack some of the stuff that she threw on her bed.
Once we got back I went on the computer for a while, and we just hung around for a while.
For supper we had Pizza. It was pretty good, but it had mushrooms on it. Its not that I don't like the taste of mushrooms, but the texture of them...its so...rubbery. and they grow in poop. I don't no...it just grosses me out.
After supper, my Auntie Di, my Grandma and my Grammie all went to someones house. I got to play some guitar which was nice because I couldn't bring my guitar to Moncton.

Pictures of my trip

Day 3: Beach Glass

Today, My Grandma and Auntie Di took me out further down country towards the ocean. It was a lot of fun. We drove around for probably close to an hour trying to find this place called "beach glass creations." After we finally found it, we went in and looked around. The store was in a light house, right beside the ocean. The main floor of the light house was just the store. It was really neat because everything was in glass cases, and there were people in another room painting things on beach glass to put on a necklace. on the upper levels was a museum. It had all sorts of things that had been washed up on shore, including glass, pearls, shells, and Clay pipes. It was really neat. I ended up buying a nice ring. It has a chunk of green beach glass on it and it is wrapped in decorative silver wire. its really pretty.
Once we were finished in the light house, we went and walked on the beach for a while and picked up shells, pieces of beach glass and rocks. I have a bag full of them to bring home for my friends and family as gifts.
Once we finished that, we started heading home. The ride home was a lot l
onger than the ride there, despite the fact that we actually knew where we were going. Auntie Di and I were going nuts with the cameras. We would stop every couple of minuets for probably 10, just so we could get a good shot. It was a lot of fun...until my camera ran out of batteries. But it was still fun either way.
When we finally finished venturing with our cameras, we stopped at a restaurant to eat. I had the best lesugnua ( I know I spel
t that wrong but its the stuff thats piled with cheese and noodles and tomatoe sauce and hamburger in a larg dish then baked)
We got back to Grammies house and now, every one is in the kitchen playing cards again!

Day 2: A little more shopping and visiting

Today I didn't do a whole lot. As we speak there is a kitchen full of family members playing cards. That's a constant occurrence out here. A tradition rather. Every night, every one in the house gets together and plays a game of cards or rummy...or what ever Grammie happens to have in her game drawer. Unfortunately, I have spent most of the gaming time, reading. I have had Twilight for about 2 days now, and I am already half way through the book.
I woke up around 10:30 again today, I had Grandma wake me up. I had a shower and Grandma wanted to take me to shoppers drug mart because there was a sale on Patel brushes. I got ready to leave, did my make up, brushed my teeth, all the normal stuff. We left the house around 11:00, and headed out to shoppers. The brush was originally $18.00 and was marked down to $11.00 so I bought it. After that Grandma had to buy Grammie some pie shells and chicken for supper, so she went to co-op and I headed next door to dollarama, hoping to buy myself some reading glasses. ( I forgot my glasses in Manitoba and was getting headaches from reading without them)
After that, we headed over to the pawn shop that my cousin Brendon works at, to say hi, and look at the guitars. After we finished there we headed off to Burger King to see my other cosine, Robyn, at work. She was on break, so she sat down and ate lunch with us.
By the time we got back, it was probably around 3:00. About 5 minuets after we walked in the door, my Uncle Arnold and Auntie Sandra walked in the door. It was great so see them! I really missed them! They happen to be among the 6 in the kitchen right now playing cards.
Any ways, got more reading, and visiting to do so ill update tomorrow!! :P Txt me if u no my number cause I miss all my Friends!!!

Day 1: Shopping

Today, I got up at 10:30. I had originally planned on getting up at 8:00. I didn't want to spent my whole time out here sleeping when I could be spending time with my family. Yesterday night, My cosin Robyn came over. It was really nice to see her. She asked me if I wanted to come to the mall with her and her friend Taylor. I agreed. At about 11:30, Robyn texted me around11:30 telling me that she and her parents were going to pick me up at noon! I was getting excited because I was going to get to spend some time with my cousin.
We went from store to store, just looking at things. I was trying to save my money because it was only my first day out here. By the time we hit Clair's, I hadn't yet spent any of my money, other than the $20 I spent in the air port on books. While walking through Clair's, I was just picking random things off the shelf. I had like...3 cellphone Charms, 3 packages of earrings, a pair of pink tweezers and a set of friendship necklaces for ma and my bff Angele. I went to pay for everything that I had picked out and my total came to like...$50.75. It was nuts. I was like...yeah, lets take this and this and this out. I ended up walking out of the store with the tweezers, the necklaces and one cell phone charm. Once we finished in Clair's, we went to get lunch. I had subway while Taylor and Robyn had KFC. KFC is wayyy too Greece for me, so I don't normally eat there. By the end of the day, I ended up with $15 left in my wallet. All I had for the whole wee was $80, by I honestly thought that it would take me more than one trip to spend that amount. :)

My flight to Moncton

At 5:30am, yesterday morning, I woke up and by 6:00am, we were ready to head off to the air port! When we got there it was already 7:00am, and our flight left at 7:45. We had 45 minuets to get our selves on the plane. Luckily, security moved us up to the front of the line, which was really nice! We got ourselves through security no problem. everything was good.
For some reason, being on the plane made me really nervous. Its not like its the first time I have ever been on a plane before. It shouldn't have been something that made me nervous. We were flying with air Canada, and according to my Grandma, air Canada is known for its bumpy flights and crazy pilots. The flight was bumpy, but that wasn't something that I didn't expect.
Since the flight was a longer one, we were on a nice plane. The seats were spaced nicely and each seat had a little personal touch screen TV on the head rest. I ended up watching 17 again. I had already seen it, but overall it was a pretty good movie.
We had to make a stop in Montreal. It was kind of funny because everything was in french. In On Manitoba signs and billboards, everything has English as the main heading, and then french underneath of it, But when I was in Montreal, I really got a good taste of what it is like to be a french person in a province that normally speaks English. Its weird.
We were stuck in Montreal for an hour and a half. While we were there, I took a quick walk to the airport book store while my Grandma was talking to a sales man at a side store. I bought Twilight and New Moon.
When we got on our second flight, the plane was small. The seats were really close together, and there were no TVs. But that's OK. I just sat and read.
By the time we got to Moncton it was 5:00pm there time.

Resetting my internal clock

For the past two weeks, I have been going to bed super late, and getting up super late. On Monday I slept in until 3:00pm, But I also didn't head off to bed until around 4:00am. Iv been taking muscle relaxers to relax me before 11:00pm so I can drift off by 11:30, but it doesn't seem to be working. So... instead of staying up super late for the rest of the summer, I am pulling a full out all nighter. No naps during the day and lots of coffee. Ill have to find things to occupie myself other wise Ill be falling asleep, and my internal clock will be even more messed up. Its like I'm suffering jet lag with out traveling. I have been up since 1:00pm yesterday, and I wont be going to sleep again until 10:30pm tonight. Wish me luck!!
:((( I'm soooo tired!!!

What if things were different?

Have you ever thought this... What if things were different. What if the world wasn't slowly disintegrating? would there be less cancer? What if there was a cure for cancer? Will there ever be? Someone once brought to my attention that even if they did find a cure for cancer, then they wouldn't tell any one because they are making so much money off of it. I never really thought about it that way, but it makes sense.
What if I was home schooled my whole life instead of attending public school? Would I have friends? Would i be smarter than I am now?
What if me and my friends never got out of fights? Would i continue making new ones and leave the other ones behind?
What if I could see God? That is a question that i have been thinking about for a long time. But I finally realized, that every one sees God. When I look at my self in the mirror, I see the work of God. When I look at you, I see the work of God. When I look at the trees, and anything that is on the planet, I see the work of God.
When i see the work of God, it makes me see God for what he is. My God, your God and our God.

pic

This is just a picture that I took while screwing around with my camera. Took a spray bottle and sprayed down a few of the plants in my yard. Turned out pretty good i think.

About 2 weeks ago, I was helping my mom paint our shed. It was a really gross green colour and my neighbours were getting married later that day. While my mom was getting the higher parts of the shed, i took a paint brush and thought Id do something for their marriage. I painted a heart on the tree. Today I was out in our yard and i took a picture. The lighting was perfect, and i really liked the focus.

Canon Q8200 a scam??

At first glance, this camera looks like a top of the line, $500 camera rite? This was my dads camera that he forgot at our house before he left. I dont let anyone touch it, and i never use it, in fear that I will break it. The flash is allready messed up. It hasent worked since i brought it out of the box. I decided that I was going to take it out and use it in Moncton (see last blog.) I wanted to see what kind of film it uses, so I googled it. Apparentley, the camera that i have treasured for 10 years is a total scam. Its not even a real canon product. Some things really dissapoint me.

Camp and Traveling

On Tuesday, I'm leaving to go to camp again. This is a completely different experience for me this year, because I'm not a camper. Iv been going to this camp for 5 years, and every year I go, I have been a camper. But this year, I'm a counselor. At the beginning of the summer, I went to this camp for training to be a counselor. I was a CIT (counselor in training) for a week, and then I left for home. A lot of the other CIT's were staying for the whole summer. I knew that I wouldn't be able to do that. In October I went to Moncton to see my family for 2 weeks, and it was really hard to be away from home for that long. I couldn't imagine spending 6 weeks out there, without seeing any of my family members.
I am heading out to camp for 4 days. I'm consoling the Jr. mini group. That's the youngest group that they have at this camp. I believe it is from ages 6-8. Iv heard horror stories about the Jr. mini group.
There is the Briar story. According to the other counselors in my cabin, there was a kid named Briar that came to camp one year. The kid said to the counselor that he wasn't feeling good, but sent him to bed anyway, thinking that he was just over tired from all the physical activity that he had done. You have to keep in mind, that there are like 10 boy cabins each of which consist of like...5 bunk beds. Briar was on the top bunk. Being that all these kids are like...6,7, and 8, they are pretty messy. The kid sharing a bunk with Briar, had left his suit case open beside his bed. In the middle of the night, Briar gets sick. Not on his sleeping bag, not in a garbage can, But over the side of his bunk, right into the suit case of his bunk buddy.

Another time, I head a story about this counselor. Apparently he was like...the best male counselor that was at this camp. He had a red, fuzzy bean bag chair that he would sit in and do devo's with his cabin before bed. (devo=bible study or time put away for God) One night this counselor heard something moving. like...skin rubbing on fabric. He just put it aside and thought "o...its just someone moving around in his bed." But once the moving didn't stop, he turned on the light, and there was a kid wiping his butt on this bright red fuzzy bean bag chair.

Then there is the poop sticks. Most of the campers don't know about this. At my camp, there are 2 sets of washrooms. There are Lake side hall washrooms. They are really clean, and then there are the summer washrooms. And their not so clean. The summer washrooms have the kind of toilets that you hold the Handel down half way to fill the toilet with water, then when you're finished "doing the do" you push it down all the way, and it opens a hole in the toilet and it goes down. Well... sometimes, when your cleaning the summer wash rooms, poop gets stuck on the sides of the toilet. Its not like its just a little smudge. But its like a full out turd sticking to the side of the toilet bowl. So, to fix this problem, we go into the bush, and get a stick. We bring the stick back into the summer wash rooms and proceed to push the poop down the hole in the toilet. Once we are done with the poop stick, there is a little triangle of trees and bushes that separates the cabins from the summer washrooms. We throw the poop stick into the triangle. Its known as the poop stick triangle.
Sometimes, kids will go into the poop stick triangle and pull out these sticks, not knowing that the are poop sticks. (we don't tell them, because more often than not, the boys will chase the girls with the sticks) Its really gross.

Any ways, I am leaving camp a day early because I am heading out to Moncton to see my family again! I'm really excited! I cant wait to see my great Grandma, and my cousins, and my aunts and uncles! Most of my family lives out in Moncton (New Brunswick) so i never get to see them. The last time I got to see them was in October, when I stayed out there for 2 weeks. But before that, it had been probably like... 4 or 5 years since I had seen them.
I remember that when I had gone for the first time, it was more about the experience of being on the air plane. I couldn't have cared less about seeing my family. I didn't really know who they were. I was so young, that i didn't think to my self "OMG I get to see my family" all i cared was that i got to go on that plane. Its amazing how you can grow into things. Now when I go out to Moncton, its all about seeing my family. Like...I would gladly cut out the 6 hour plane ride, to be able to see my family. Id do it in a heart beat.
Last time I went out there, I got to see my cousin Robyn. I was so excited! We get along pretty well, which is great. She is a year younger than me, but we have a lot of the same interests... more specifically...boys.
My Great Grandma is sooo cute! Shes like... 70 years old and she cooks up a storm! Ill tell you this much, if your at Grammies house, You will never ever go hungry. Its like a pass time. She walks around the house in her little slippers and apron. its so cute!! i cant wait to have some of her cookies.
My Uncle Arnold is sooo awesome! hes a hunter. I remember last time i went out there, he had brought a partridge (prairie chicken) I didnt like it though. I think it has something to do with the fact that I saw it when it was dripping blood. I do the same thing with fish. I just cant eat it if i seen it whit blood on it.
Any ways...ill try to keep an updat every day when im in moncton, along with some pictures.
:)

City of angels- We have corruped love (dont read if you havent seen the movie, may contain spoilers)

I just finished watching City of Angels. IT WAS AMAZING!!!
It stared Nicolas Cage and Meg Ryan.
Right at the beginning of the movie, When Seth showed himself to Maggie, he says to her, "some things are true whether you believe them or not" I really liked this quote.
I have seen this movie millions of times before, but i never really got that Seth was an angle. In the movie, he calls himself a "messenger of God." What most people don't know, is that messenger of God in Hebrew is Angle. Now, if you think about it, Seth couldn't lie to Maggie because he was an Angle. So when she asked him what he did for a living, and he said he was a messenger, he didn't lie to her, and he avoided telling he that he could never be with her, because he wasn't human.
When Maggie finally found out that he was an angle, it was kinda sad, because its one of those moments when you sit back in your seat and sulk because that's when you realise that the perfect couple will never be able to be with each other. But of course Seth finds a way to be with the love of his life. One of Maggie's patients that she was treating had, at one time, also been an angle, but just because God gave humans free will, doesn't mean that he didn't give his angels free will. Nathaniel Messinger (Maggie's patient) told Seth, that he could turn him self back into a human, but he would have to sacrifice his pure life in order to do so. This would mean ending his life as an angle. Seth ended up jumping off of a building, and when he woke up, he was human again. He was bleeding, he could feel pain. He was alive.
The first thing he did was go to the hospital to see Maggie, but she wasn't there. When he finally found her, They fell madly in love and everything was happy.
The next day, Seth got in the shower, and Maggie went to the store on her bike. On her way back, she was hit by a semi and she died. Seth held her in his arms and she was talking about how she could see an angle.
While Seth was coping with the loss of his love, one of his friends who was an angle, came to see him. His friend, Cassiel (Andre Braugher) Asked Seth that if he would have known that Maggie was going to die, would he have still jumped off the building? Seth replied, "I would rather have had one breath of her hair, one kiss from her mouth, one touch of her hand, than eternity without it. One." This is the most meaningful quot i have ever read. This is what true love is supposed to look like. I know that this is just a fairy tale love story, but what if the world was actually like this? what if people fell in love, and stayed in love? This is how it was meant. We have corrupted it.

Camping!!

About 2 weeks ago, I headed out to the lake with my sister and a few friends and my mom. We all had a blast! I brought my friend Savannah, and my sister brought her friend Matt.

Jess Matt

Savannah Me (Chelsea)

My mom

We have a small seasonal site that we camp at. Its a lot of fun! I almoste always bring out a friend or 2, so you never get bored!

On the first day that we were camping, we ended up going out on the lake on my moms friends pontune boat. It was a lot of fun. Savannah and I rode on the pontune and then Matt and Jess rode on our boat. We just have an old fiber glass boat, but its great for skiing and tubing.

Me, Savannah and Scott (moms friend)

Matts head

We did some tubing and some water skiing. Jess, Savannah and Matt did some swimming, i wasnt really into it.

On our way back, all the "kids" were on the pontune along with Scott because he had to drive the boat, and then my mom was on the other boat alone. Scott felt bad for her so he decided that he was going to call me over and get me to take the wheel. I was like...ok...I guess Ill drive. I was thinking that he just wanted a quick break and that he would take the wheel back in a few minuets. All of a sudden, my mom pulls right up close to the pontune, and Scott takes off into the other boat. I was freeking out. You have to keep in mind that i cant see anything because i wasnt wearing my glasses and it was almoste pitch black out.
Now that i look back on it, it was prety funny. but at the time, i wasnt impressed. :)
